About Us
Who I am
I had just started my freshman year at the University of Florida and was coming off a strong first semester when everything changed — I was in a boating accident that completely flipped my world.
When I realized the extent of what had happened, it wasn’t easy. I shut down. I didn’t want to talk to anyone or even leave my room. But I still showed up to every therapy session — because deep down, I knew it was going to help. Still, I wasn’t happy. I was physically healing, but mentally, I was stuck.
I knew I'd be okay eventually. The question was how fast I'd get there.
Now, I drive. I graduated from UF. I work in cybersecurity, I play adaptive sports, I live independently — I made it through. But on that journey, I saw two things clearly:
Not everyone has access to adaptive sports. And not everyone has someone who's been there before to lean on for support and real advice.
That's why I started Don't Wait For It. Because I remember what it meant to have that support system — someone who actually understood what I was going through. I had access to the kind of movement and community that helped me rebuild my life.
Everyone deserves that same chance.
