Who I am

I had just started my freshman year at the University of Florida and was coming off a strong first semester when everything changed — I was in a boating accident that completely flipped my world.

When I realized the extent of what had happened, it wasn’t easy. I shut down. I didn’t want to talk to anyone or even leave my room. But I still showed up to every therapy session — because deep down, I knew it was going to help. Still, I wasn’t happy. I was physically healing, but mentally, I was stuck.

I knew I’d be okay eventually. But I also knew that how long it would take — one year, two, or more — was going to be up to me.

Now, I drive. I’ve graduated from UF. I work, I play sports, I live independently — I made it through. But on that journey, I saw two things clearly:

Not everyone has access to adaptive sports.
And not everyone has someone to lean on for support or advice.

That’s why I started Don’t Wait For It. Because I remember what it meant to have a brotherhood — someone to count on. And I had access to the kind of movement and community that helped me heal.

Everyone deserves that.
